The PlayStation has been very successful and released many memorable games. Unfortunately, games with mecha or robot settings are not one of them. So, for gamers who prefer controlling their mechs and robots, we dig deeper and look for the available mech games for the PlayStation. With that, here are 11 awesome mech games on PS4 you don't want to miss from 2023 onwards.
Before you read, take note of the following:
- Items are in random order - you will have the delight of checking them one by one
- The games are cross-platform. We first check if the game is available on the PS4 platform before we include them in the list. This is better because you get to enjoy it on other consoles.
- We will only include the mech games that are available on the PS4 platform onwards.
- Most of the games here are offline play, and some of them are offered online.

1. Nier Automata
Nier Automata is a great game that was released on the PS4. You will explore the post-apocalyptic earth abandoned by humanity. You will explore and engage in a variety of missions and side quests to gain more experience and equipment. In this game, you are battling aliens who fight using Machine Lifeforms and gigantic robots as bosses. You first control 2B. She is a YorHa squadron and battler model type.
What I love about this game is its fast-paced combat, interesting stories of the characters, and great game soundtrack. When you complete story missions, you will also unlock the multiple endings of Nier Automata.

4. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon was developed by From Software - the game studio known for releasing Souls games, which are very difficult and brutally punishing. This game is known for its various custom mech builds, parts, and customizations. You can apply so many unique parts and paint to your mech, making it unique! One of its great online features is the PVP or player vs player, where you will be battling with another player.
From Software has been releasing many Armored Core games like Armored Core: Verdict Day, and other releases, but the Fires of Rubicon is the most recent and most improved of them all. When I played this game, the enemies looked normal, but when I faced the first boss, I recalled the brutal difficulty, and I immediately felt the SoulsLike type of difficulty.

5. Front Mission 1st: Remake
Another great game that was remade, Front Mission 1st, is a mecha game you should play! It is a turn-based combat, and you need a strategy to win. What I love about this game is the depth of its story. The fact that it was first released on PlayStation 1 way back in 2003, then ported to different platforms and reached PS5, means this game is a must-play. You can also have complete command of your own team of custom-built mechs by customizing the mech builds of each party member.
